March 30, 2026
We are pleased to announce that on March 20, 2026, the Międzynarodowe Stowarzyszenie Terapii Consonance (international name: Consonance Therapy International Association) was officially registered in the Polish National Court Register (KRS).
The organization began its history on November 18, 2024, when 120 graduates and students of the Consonance Therapy Institute (Warsaw, Poland), took initiative and established the association at a founding meeting.
The initiative was supported by the institute itself.
Consonance Therapy method, developed by Svetlana Lipinskaya, fundamentally changes the approach to psychotherapy:
Traditional therapy uses a “client-centered” approach, the goal of which is to support the traumatized child part of the personality by creating conditions for experiencing traumatic memories and associated emotions, as well as increasing the client’s level of awareness. The therapeutic process is conducted intuitively.
Consonance therapy offers an “adult-oriented” approach, the goal of which is to guarantee a solution to the client’s problem by eliminating the causes of various types of trauma and teaching the adult part of the personality the necessary qualities.
Instead of the intuitive conduct of the therapeutic process in the classical approach, a clear structure is proposed that allows the therapist to consciously manage the therapeutic process from the first session to the completion of scheduled therapy, and to reliably lead each client to a resolution of their problem within an optimal timeframe.
The registration of the international association is a response to the professional community’s demand for systematicity, results, and control over the therapeutic process, as well as to the challenges of the modern world, where there is a great need for results-oriented rather than process-oriented therapy.
Goals and Mission of the Association
According to its adopted charter (Statut), the Consonance Therapy International Association sets itself tasks that go beyond simply bringing colleagues together:
